Featured Product

NinjaCounter-UAS

The Ninja family of fixed-site C-UAS systems employs an array of industry-standard Software Defined Radios and powerful embedded computing to intercept sUAS signals across 70 MHz to 6 GHz in real-time. Detects both aircraft and controller simultaneously. Software-upgradeable to address emerging threats.

Unlike conventional jamming systems that indiscriminately block all signals in a frequency range, Ninja precisely identifies and targets specific hostile drone control links. Friendly drones can be whitelisted for unimpeded operations. The software-upgradeable architecture addresses emerging threats without hardware replacement.

REACT

Resilient, Expandable, Adaptive Core Tracker

REACT provides sensor-agnostic tracking functions performing essential data association and state estimation methods fundamental to any tracking solution. It processes MTI data from Airborne MTI (AMTI), Video MTI (VMTI), and Moving Target Indicator Overhead Persistent Infrared (MTIO) sources. The BRAT tracker, derived from REACT and in continuous development since 2007, is deployed by the DoD and Intelligence Community — typically processing data at 10x real-time for wide area surveillance platforms.

Resilient — handles data format issues, radar anomalies, and network failures

Expandable — adapts to nearly any MTI-producing radar system

Adaptable — highly configurable parameters for sensor and mission tuning

Company

Three Decades ofInnovation.

Founded in 1996 by two engineering groups — one specializing in airborne sensing and weapons systems, another in real-time parallel computing — Black River Systems has evolved into a leader in rapidly fielding advanced sensing solutions.

Over three decades, the company has expanded to incorporate machine learning, AI, and data science into its core capabilities. Today, Black River leads in counter-UAS, signals intelligence, and surveillance radar — delivering solutions that work in the most demanding operational environments.

In January 2022, Black River transitioned to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Every employee is a stakeholder. That alignment of ownership and mission drives the quality and commitment behind every system we build.

Deliver exceptional service through advanced research and engineering, develop proof-of-concept systems, and deploy operational systems to meet client needs.
